Andy – Adopted!

Posted in Adopted!, Transferred at 3:36 AM by Lori

Sweet Andy now has a girlfriend and a loving forever home! Thank you to Judy of RabbitEARS!

Andy was found in a shoebox by some trashcans before he came to us. We don’t know how long it was between when he was discarded and discovered, but he had a voracious appetite the first week after his rescue.

Andy is about 2 years old, with a very sweet personality. He has been neutered and is safe to introduce to girls now with no chance of pregnancy.

Please contact us here at Friendly Farms if you are interested in giving this darling boy a loving, forever home.

Posted in Adopted!, Transferred at 1:41 PM by Lori

Update 9/10/12: Ernie has been adopted! May he and his new family have many happy years together!

Update 8/26/12: Ernie is now available for adoption through RabbitEARS in El Cerrito. Please contact RabbitEARS if you are interested in meeting him.

Ernie is a fun boy, about 1 year old now. He has been neutered and will be ready to meet girls after August 7. Guinea pigs are social animals who naturally live in groups of one male and one or more females, and they are happiest when they have other guinea pig friends to pal around with when their people are busy doing human stuff like work, school, shopping, etc.

Ernie is shy and it will take some time for him to be used to handling, but he will take food from your hand and loves being part of the household. Contact us here at Friendly Farms if you are interested in making him part of your loving family.

Guinea Lynx has lots of great information about caring for guinea pigs. Cavy Cages has terrific housing ideas.

Did you know that guinea pigs can live on fleece as an alternative to litter? Here and here are good videos that show how it is done.
